Revisit Lepanto

Phil Lawler presents an exploration of G.K. Chesterton’s magnificent poem, Lepanto. The poem is is a dramatic recounting of the decisive battle that preserved European Christendom and inspired Pope St. Pius V to establish the feast day—also known as the feast of Our Lady of Victory.

Phil Lawler discusses the importance of that decisive battle, explains the imagery of Chesterton’s poem, and concludes his presentation with a recitation of the poem itself.
