The poem is is a dramatic recounting of the decisive battle that preserved European Christendom and inspired Pope St. Pius V to establish the feast day—also known as the feast of Our Lady of Victory.\n \nPhil Lawler will discuss the importance of that decisive battle\, explain the imagery of Chesterton’s poem\, and conclude his presentation with a recitation of the poem itself.\n \nThis event is co-sponsored by the Center for the Restoration of Christian Culture and Saint Benedict Abbey. \n \nPhil Lawler is the director of the Center for the Restoration of Christian Culture. He is editor of Catholic World News and is the author or editor of a dozen books on political and religious topics.
